Looking to spend 100 - 150 quid on a digital camera. Where can I get a good deal online and what should I look for. Any recommendations and what to avoid would be appreciated.

Cheers

Jeremy

Not bad. What are you using it for ? I got a Nikon Coolpix 775 for £219 at Jessops whihc seemed a blinding deal. Very good camera and unlike others at that price point it using proper Lithium Ion batters so they last ages and can be recharged. Bear in mnd some camera that run off AAA batteries can get though sets of batteries like a battery eating thingy especially if you use the lcd screen or flash alot.

Ideal camera is apparently 3 mega pixels as thats optimum for scanner and printer technologies

3 mega pixels will be too expensive I think.
The camera will be used for general use. We have just had our first son and will be sending pics to grandparents etc. I can't see me messing about printing them as I have a good 35mm camera. I will probably just save them onto my HDD or burn them onto cd and view them of the PC.
Doing a bit of reserch I would like:

Rechargable battery (not AA)
Expandable memory cards
A flash

Thumbs up

If you can stretch your budget a bit, the Fuji A601 is available for £307 (half original price!), from www.pixmania.co.uk

IMO, an excellent camera

The Fuji FinePix A202 has been good for me. A little bit plasticky but does the job nicely and has all the features I need, except optical zoom. Got it from internetcamerasdirect.co.uk

Question

Would you be interested in a second hand camera ?

I'm probably going to buy a Canon G3 and would be looking to sell my existing Pentax 330 to help pay for it.........
