Was in Hal*ords yesterday and saw that they are now stocking Mobil 1 Motorsport at £29.99 for 4 litres and £9.99 for 1 litre. The word is obviously spreading.

Yeah nice and expensive.

How does Shell Helix Ultra at £5 per litre sound?

It all depends on how you define expensive Phil, drive 30 miles to a stockist then 30 miles back = £12 in fuel
or pop round corner
I'm not a fan of Halfords by any stretch but I say well done for stocking a product we want.
I'm sure you are getting trade price for your oil as you're in the business, we're not all that lucky, anyway £30 per 4litre is what I thought was going rate for Mobil 1 Motorsport from other retailers?

Yes, but what about the other 'things' that they're stocking through public demand

Stick on bonnet scoop anyone...

Fair point - so tell me how much you want and I'll bring it to the track days and sell it to you at cost.

Cossies run hydraulic lifters so need to use a 15w oil, or they sound "rattly" (no comments please! ). Hence I put in the best 15w I can buy. You don't spend all that money out on an engine and skimp on oil - I also change it every 2500 miles.....

Thumbs up

The Halfords Superstores are doing a special offer of if you spend over £50 on servicing products you get £10 off. So buy 2 cartons of Mobil 1 Motorsport for £50....

Makes it a lot better value...

Excellent - but 8 litres at £5 per litre is £40 - so save another £10.

One of my neighbours is in marketing for Mobil and was responsible for getting Mobil 1 Motorsport into Halfords. But ... synthetic oils are 2/3 the price in French supermarkets ...

I dont see what the fuss is as Halfords have been stocking Mobil 1 Motorsport at that price for ages. I even bought some there at that price for my Golf Mk2 when i changed the oil in it last May (sold in August)!
