Cool

How do I clear the address entries in IE 5 under win 95? I have tried removing typed URLs in the registry but to no avail.

Before you ask its not because there is anything dodgy there!

Right click on the explorer icon on your desktop, then choose properties. In the window that opens click on clear history.

I have a similar problem any help would be appreciated...

I have a rogue URL in my address bar that will not be deleted. I have cleared my temp files and also the history folder and still it remains. It does not appear when you cliak the drop down arrow next to the address bar, only when you type in a URL e.g. when you type in

Cool

Thanks for the replies but it still hasn't worked

I still get a list of suggested sites when I start to type an address.

There must be a way to clear this.

Thumbs up

Click through to Internet Options

- Delete temporary files
- Clear History
- Click on the "Content" tab, then on the "Autocomplete" button. Here you can clear both your passwords and autocomplete keywords.

If this doesn't work try running Regedit and clearing all of the Typed URL's (Search for Typed URL's).

Other than that, uninstall then re-install ie 5.5

You should be able to do it via clearing the history but this might be worth a try:-

Tools > Internet Options

Select the content tab then click "Auto Complete" and click "Clear Forms"

worth a try.

Thanks you pointed me in the right direction.

Tools - Internet Options - Content - Autocomplete - then uncheck "use autocomplete for web addresses"

Why didn't I see that before?
