View Full Version : Nurburgring - Scooby (scabby Skodas ;)) and Cossie boys
Mike Rainbird 17 January 2003, 10:04 As per our annual event, am trying to pick a date that would be suitable. Last year Easter was booked up by a track day company, what about this year?
Am looking for a date when the most people for the most socialising for the most madest trip there and back can be arranged. Please let me know: John F, 'Tav etc.
MattOz 17 January 2003, 11:13 Mike,
Have e-mailed you!! :D
Speak to you soon
Matt
astraboy 17 January 2003, 12:48 I have financial backing now. So any date is good for me and I'll be there.

lordlucan 17 January 2003, 13:52 Hi Mike

J.
Mike Rainbird 17 January 2003, 14:51 Jas,
I think we were aiming for a bank holiday weekend so that less days holiday were required....
TaviaRS 17 January 2003, 15:09 As I said in Matt's thread, I'm going Easter and both May bank holidays (subject to it being open).
Scabby Skodas? :p
Mike Rainbird 17 January 2003, 16:20 Tav,
I ain't speaking to you, as you are responsible for Charlie buying an Octavia as a second car  He has already lowered it and put 17s on and it's an ESTATE  Does actually look nice though in silver (I can't believe I said that! ). He is actually taking this to the Ring, as he wants something sedate to go on the track with for the first time! :p ;)
LOL
Numptie 17 January 2003, 17:42 Mike,
Have you read my post (http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=163274) currently sitting seven below this one ?
I'm interested in pinning down a date too.
Have you seen the trip that SELOC are planning for 1st and 2nd March ?
Cheers,
N :)
Mike Rainbird 17 January 2003, 17:49 Yes, hence why I was trying to pin the regulars down to a date. It is traditional that we go in April/ May (and so several are building cars to be finished around this date), so we would ideally like a long weekend as per the usual way it has been done with the Thursday, Friday and Monday taken off (with the first and last days used for travelling).
Wouldn't have thought bank holidays make much difference, as surely the Germans don't do this?

Mike123 18 January 2003, 20:31 Hi Mike,
If you need any ballast to share the costs I would be quite interested - I'm sure you'll remember I made an excellent job of helping to change the wheels on your Saph at Donnington!
Cheers

Jerome 22 January 2003, 00:50 As it's my birthday on 31st March, my gf and I were planning on going to the 'ring around this time. I would like an idea how much the trip will cost though. Could anyone give me a likely breakdown of costs to take a MY93 WRX to the 'ring from London with a few jessie laps included.
If we could tag along with you guys, it would be even better. :D
mutant_matt 07 February 2003, 14:49 I'm there (as stated in Matt's thread) :D
Matt :)
Topjimo 10 February 2003, 11:54 So what are the dates the ring is open, as I am trying to organise me and some mate to add more scoobs to the trip?
