Desparate for help on PC Crash
taken me about 45 mins to get to this page and I'm just about to throw the toys out of the pram....
switched on this morning to find what looked like this pc was in safe mode (although it is'nt) v-low res screen, 640x480 screen. I can only see about four to five lines of text as I write
run32.dll error on finishing load sequence.
tried changing back to 1280x1640 or similar to that anyway
and tried to chage back to high colour,
none of the settings changed after startup and was back at first base.
Oh and I am having to get everywhere via keyboard as the mouse does not work..????
had a look in "system" to see if driver files were loaded ok, no probs found.
when the **** hits the fan, like it has today I'm lost when it comes to fixing the big stuff
Is there anyone who fancies "poping round" (cheltenham) to sort it out or going over it on the phone.
as it's doing my head in.
The cause I assume is to do with "flashmpeg" video compression software I installed last night.
I managed to delete the "folder" and all it's contents (there was no uninstall program with it, nor was there a "listing" within add remove section.
this is the second attempt at writing this post as when I sent it first time round "zone alarm" grabbed it and told me **** off.
zone alarm now un-installed
Please HELP

thought everything was sussed for a moment,
system restore program
bar was scrolling along nicely after choosing a date earlier in December to restore to.
asked me to re-start then popped up a message saying "cannot resore to this point"
