ECU - Reset with pictures

This is probably the long winded way of reseting the ECU but when i disconnect my battery the alarm goes off as it has battery backup.

Pull the carept away from the passenger side foot well there are 2 plastic screw type clips on the left and right hand corner.



Then remove the silver plate, there are 3 screws (10mm) and 1 x 10mm bolt



Pull out all the plugs



Then put it all back together again in reverse order.

But don't do what i did and leave the plastic cover off the ecu when you've put it back together again ! DOH

P.S Don't forget to leave the plugs out for a minimum of 10 minutes before you reconnect them.

Is that a my 99,looks like youv'e got the dodgy brown stickered ecu,do you want to swap it for my nice green one

Yep it is a MY99....Sport, have to wait until tomorrow to see if it runs any better !

Dodgy brown one ?......ok i'll bite...what's the difference ?..just the colour ?..prefer a nice sky blue with a hint of white

I prefer pictures...not that intelligent !!!

Sport,no good then for the swap,the browns ones are better than the green uns on the turbo's.

Is there any significant gain achieved from resetting the ecu (with or without Super UL)

I'm going to try SUL next fill up i'm not convinced it makes any difference, i'll try some Shell optimax....even though i work for TOTALFINAELF ! not sure if i'll get extra milage like other on scoobynet have got.....watch this space.
