I have a MY2000 turbo (Eoropean type 218bhp) I ride on standard springs and dampers, have solid swaybar connectors and an anti lift kit from Whiteline, Now I can drive flat out over bumps and crests but what if I lower the car with something like Leda or Spax ??? I think that's only well spend money when you're driving on a race circuit but for everyday use...??? Oh and by the way, the only circuit I go to is the Nurnburgring and thats a nasty bumpy one !!!

If you're into driving real bumpy roads then for sure, the full on adjustable stuff is too much of a compromise. Even on softest settings on my KW's, it's still too firm to travel as fast as I used to on certain c-roads here in CH.

I first went from standard to Eibach springs and adjustable Koni dampers - the ride quaility improved and it was excellent at covering bumpy ground. Eibach's lower the car around 20-25mm. I reckon this is a good set-up for road only use.

I upgraded (or started investigating) the first time I went on track (Nurburgring, strangely enough) - when pushed to the limit this set-up was still too soft.

Depends on driving style too, I guess.
