I'm am considering converting my aliegence from Ford RS To Subaru Impreza Turbo.

What's the Starting price for a Scooby Turbo 4-door (not bothered weather U.K or Jap spec)

I was considering a Sierra Cosworth as an upgrade to my 'Series 1' Turbo, but I think (Personally) they are getting a bit long in the tooth with many having clocked up in excess fo 80,000 miles.

Any help and advice on the above would be appreciated.

Scott, try a site like topmarques.com (or co.uk) and do a search for Impreza, they usually have a few, or Exchange and Mart have a good search engine as well. That should give you a good idea on price range and the sorts of car available.

Don't forget to consider other animals such as MKIV Supras or EVO VI's. Preferably a Supra.

Thumbs up

Prices start from about 9k for a decent car, for either an early Japanese import, or an earlier UK spec car.

You can pick up cheaper ones with very high miles and dubious or missing history, but they aren't worth the hassle.

For 12k, you can pick up a very good 96 UK spec car, with about 70k miles (and FSH) from a private sale, or from a dealer for about 1k more.

Supra's not a bad choice. I believe some of the Jap ones have an egg timer on the dash for recording 0-60

If you're gonna go for a Supra, make it a mk iv, alternatively an Evo V - don't see many about and they go like stink. Not sure about the tuning side of it but then again Scoobs aren't that easy to tune really...
