Looking at this kit for a friend of mine, as advertised on Subaru.co.uk
Spring Kit - WRX, GX only.
part no: SACC2544
£ Please contact you dealer.
Can someone tell me what you get here. Appreciate it will be just springs, but are they the Eibach ones or something else.. What difference does it make, ie. lowered / stiffer???
Any help offered here, would be much appreciated...
Regards
Simon

AFAIK they're the Prodrive springs. They are made by Eibach but are OES for warranty issues etc (there's plenty of other threads about these at the mo regarding stiffness etc)
Dunno whether they "officially" fit an STi7...
Is this building up to taking part in next year's Elvington?

re-read you post - maybe not for STi then... Doh
I get the impression they are slightly softer than eibachs (but there's now a couple of versions of these with differing characteristics) and lower the car approx 20/25mm - i.e. more of a comfort option rather than bad boy / slammed mota ;)

Hiya mate, how are you.... Got me thinking then, how does this guy know i've got an STi 7.... LOL ;)
Yes, read it right the second time, it's for a friend who has an MY00, and he is wanting a stiffer setup without going all out on the expense of a full strut/spring combination....
He is, like me, readying for a bit of track day fun next year, so he is looking at the different options available right now... :)
Catch you later... R U going to Well Lane for the rolling road sessions in January???

Hi Simon,
Don't know whether the SACC part no would fit an MY00 - AFAIR that's for MY01-on :( There's possibly a set of MY01- prodrive springs for sale in a bit... (not mine)
Isn't a prodrive u/g for a my00 including the damper as well? - see the Prodrive (http://www.prodrive.com/) website for more info.
S'pose it depends on how much he wants to splash out as to what setup he wants to end up with - occasional use or full-blown track-meister ;)
Just found out that Ohlins Grp N is approx 2K per corner  with GC8 std Road & Track spec is more like 1600 quid per set (more "reasonable" but still steep if you haven't got the dosh).
I'm hoping to get to one of the Well Lane dos at some point but I've always been busy to date with other things :(
