Always been weary of doing this in the past, but there seem to be some bargains available each time I look.

Anyone buy second hand stuff from Game? How well do they test them do you think, what's the general condition of the discs/manuals etc? Any problems, or is it a good idea?

Specifically, I'm looking at PS2 games.

Yeah i got Mid night racing bit pants but £10 cant complain, bought Get away in 60secs aswell.

Never had a problem with 2nd hand games and I've bought a fair few!

Tend not to use Game as they are normally a little more expensive than other 2nd hand places. If you can, see if you can find a Gamestation, Another World, Special Reserve. I've always found them to be slightly cheaper than Game.

For example, game had Toca Race Car Driver in for 30 quid second hand. Special Reserve (where I bought it) had it for 20 quid, and Gamestation had it for 19 (didn't see this until after I'd bought it! )

It still pays to shop around

Definitely worthwhile getting them 2nd hand, especially console games. Just check the disc surface before you leave the shop ... never had probs so far.

 

Thanks chaps, just picked up Maximo from Game, 2nd hand, for under £15, will have a play later.

Hope it lives up to Ghosts & Goblins - ah, happy days....
