Noisy Fan?
try WD40 in the fan.
It doesn't make sense as to why the fans became noisey after addin in more memory. Where there any bits of plastic that have been left out of the machine when you put it back together? The bits of plastic are specifically designed to route airflow over the system, without them the fans have to work harder. The harder the fans have to work the noiser they become.

In my experience, as soon as you get a noisy fan, replace it.
It may have stopped working BEFORE you put the memory in, and when you disturbed the machine it started working half-heartedly again.
Find out which fan it is and replace it, otherwise whatever component it is supposed to be cooling may eventually overheat and blow.
