Good info for brake buyers!

If you, like me, thought bigger pads = better braking then check this out http://www.stoptech.com/faq/ Coz they dont!

It also answers a front/rear brake bias question I asked weeks ago (would the rears become less effective with new BIG fronts?). Seems it depends on piston size matching the orig master cylinder...

Diesel, no, bigger pads do not equal better braking (depending on what you mean by bigger). Eg longer usually = better but not always!

Brake balance is a very important but often overlooked performance parameter, especially with people like us who muck about with these things.

Brake balance can be adjusted not just by piston size/pressure but rather more easily by carefully matching front-rear pad friction coefficients.
