Yes & No, I wear 215-65's Scorpions ST during winter and i tell you, they're a big step up both ON/OFF road from the OEM set. I would suggest Wrangler HP for mainly onroad as they come in both 60's and 65's configurations,a very good tire which i'm going to get next spring. Beware, all tires are H-rating only.

The Michelin Pilot Sport (winter tyres) that I took off my old MY00 Impreza Turbo were 205/50 R16 87H.

I have a friend with a Forester S and was going to offer them to him but I suppose I'll just have to get down on my knees and have a look to see if his rubber is the same...

 

Yup, Turbo Forester has 215/60 x 16. Toyo do a good upgrade from the OEM tyres and are cheaper as well.
Impreza ones are 205/50 x 16 for that age.

The forester is going to look very funny with 205/50-16's and it'll rev faster too..but i won't go any faster.
