What tyres are best for my car? Help!!!

Hello All, first post.
I have a highly tuned STI 5 putting out 350 brake and 400 pounds of torque and i am wondering what the best tyres would be to put on? I currently have Bridgestone SO-3 225 45 17 and they caught me out the other night in the wet, its going to cost me quite a bit to put the car right so from here on I dont want to take any chances on tyres, no matter what the price. I believe Dunlop do s road legal race tyre, what's it called and what's it like? I live over in Ireland, Dublin area.
