Question

I'm after some pictures of the Godspeed large rear disc upgrade, fitted (discs and bells) - anybody out there had it done?
I'm looking for something to complement the Alcons on the front of my P1 but wanted to see it in "the flesh" if poss.

Hi,

As far as im aware the big disc conversion can not be fitted to Imprezas (the seperate bells discs etc.). This is due to the handbrake being a drum brake on the inside of the rear brake disc. So replacing this with a speperate bell and disc will leave you with no rear disc

Godspeed do a nice grooved (and/or drilled) replacement rear disc tho, only about £150 .

Tony.

There's a guy in the bristol area called Jerome with a silver 5dr, he's got the rear discs, (standard size) he's put picture up before, but I can't remember his SN name, he might lok in though!

Cheers guys; I thought about the handbrake issue when I saw the pictures on the Godspeed site but wasn't sure.

Looks like I don't have to spend as much then

Can't remeber Dan as I bought the four discs fitted with calipers stripped and painted.

I have spacers on front but Ian has extended the bells slightly to avoid this in future.

I haven't had them on a track yet but motorway stopping ie from high speeds is very impressive. I'm getting a towbar for safety as not everyone behind me has Godpeeds fitted!

Cheers

Jerome
