Turned on PC tonight and was met with a white screen with jumpy black line at the bottom.
Monitor is ok as tried it with my other PC. Power to the unit.
Any ideas

I'd try reseating the video card.

Does it make the usual beeps and noises on startup? Does the harddisk start up when you expect?

Hi m8
Yeh - it makes about 5 or 6 rapid beeps on startup which is not normal. Hard disk starts to operate but then stops. Machine then goes quiet.

sounds like it could well be the video card. get it checked in another pc, or try another one in yours. make sure the slot is clean, dust free and completely dry.
