Post

I just aquired 3 points due to a sneaky bike cop hiding behind a junction on a road which is about 2 mile straight (Roman thing).

I have a couple of questions, dunno if anyone can help.
1) How can he possibly have done a proper speed reading using VASCAR with the white boxes on the road (he told me he used this) if i was travelling at a high speed, and he was a long long way behind stationary. Surely visual parallax means its inaccurate.
2) i've seen posts on here bout just ignoring the ticket etc.. seems like a bad idea, but is there anything i can do.. i dont mind the fine its fair enough, i was speeding but the road was SO SAFE for it - the points rile me. The police may well be all about revenue these days, but why the god damn points.
3) What impact is it likely to have on my insurance for next year?

Cheers for any replies,
Andy
