Dont laugh but my old 1968 mark 1 escort is on the cover of classic ford this month had it for ten years, did it up nice, it flew, all that sidways fun.what a laugh got 3 grand for it 2 years ago.Bob mac.

So have you lost out and it is worth 6k now?

Would suspect 3k would still be it's value?

They don't make them like that anymore and as some people would say "Thank goodness" but they were a top car at the time..
not that I am old enough to know this first hand..
Ford went down hill not long after...

I agree, i've had a few fords as my old man works for em! What a complete waste of time their cars are. Nothing but problems with all the cars i was sold. Mine were all recent cars though so i couldn't comment on earlier fords.

1 Escort GTI (brand new) - Required a new ecu the day i picked it up, water leaks, brakes etc.

1 Fiesta Zetec 1.4(brand new) good fun but had various problems.

1 Escort GTI (second hand) - Water leaks, engine problems etc.

So from experience i would "NOT" have another ford if they gave me one. I'd probably burn it if they did Revenge is sweet!
