I'm looking forward to this event, not bother what position I finish in, as long as I'm in front of Big arf and Gus,

Only joking guys,

Well thats Gus beat,

Work comitments, rusty, reasons why he won't be me,
just Arf to sot out now, I might try the avenue of supplying him with a few full breakfast in the morning, then some dodgy straightliners chicken curry & chips for lunch, that should do the job.

Last 2 events I'v gone there in the car, raced and come home, been good.

COSSI were not ignoring you, there does seem to be a lot of work to get registered for the event, but stick with it bud, and we will see you there,

Bez

Default Subaru Shoot-Out: Elvington Airfield 3rd October 2010

On the 3rd of October, “Team ScoobyClinic” will be taking part in the famous “Scooby Shoot-Out” at the Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire. Running on the handling circuit and drag strip, the team is looking to put on a good show, and hopefully come away with the silverware!

The Scooby Shoot-Out is now in it’s 8th year, and always draws a huge crowd as fans flock to see around 60 Subaru’s and a few other makes and models being put through their paces.

Run by the same people, and at the same location as TOTB, the Shoot-Out promises to be a great event for Subaru enthusiasts, with the possibility of a few surprises thrown in!

The 2010 team will be run under the watchful eye of ScoobyClinic’s top man Kevin Knight. Kev has pulled together 10 of ScoobyClinic’s finest Impreza’s, along with a cross section of drivers from a variety of motorsport disciplines to represent the company at the event.

Team “ScoobyClinic” will be made up of:

Tim Evans: Euro Saloons/Northern Saloon & Sports Car Championship

Tim started karting in 1985, and drove for the England gearbox kart team in 1998. He raced Caterham’s between 2000 and 2002 with regular podium finishes. He moved to RGB kit cars between 2003 and 2007, and has been with saloon cars since 2007, with regular class wins.

Vaughan Fletcher: Nippon Challenge/AAA’s

Vaughan started his love of racing with track days in 2002, and moved onto circuit racing at the beginning of 2009.

Although new to circuit racing in 2009, Vaughan has proven to be the one to beat on track, with significant class and race wins to his name. This success has continued into 2010 and across several race series, leaving much higher powered machinery in his wake.

Ian Froggatt: Nippon Challenge/AAA’s

Ian is new to the world of circuit racing this season, having decided to join in the fun after seeing Vaughan Fletcher compete in the Nippon Challenge last year.

His first outing was at Mallory Park in April this year, and he has been steadily improving as the season progresses in both the Nippon Challenge and AAA Saloon Cup.

Kevin Horsley: Time Attack/Scooby-Sprint

Kevin regularly competes in the “Time Attack” championship in ScoobyClinic’s “Pink” Subaru.

In 2007 he finished 3rd in the Time Attack Club Challenge championship and then won it the class in 2008, setting 4 lap records which still stand to this day. In 2009 Kevin switched to the ScoobySprint Series and won the Modified Privateer championship that.

This year he moved up a class in Time Attack to the Club Pro championship, which he currently leads with one round left to go.

Kev finished runner up on the handling circuit at the 2008 SSO.

Peter Isherwood: Euro Saloons/Northern Saloon & Sports Car Championship

Peter started racing in 2004 in the RGB race series, and took many class wins over the season. Drove in DDMC Saloon and Sport series in 2006, again with many class wins and won “Hepolite’s” most entertaining driver 2008. Moved onto racing Subaru’s in the 2009 LMA championship and took two class wins.

James Key: ScoobyClinic

James is one of the technicians at ScoobyClinic, and will be driving his 1995 type RA Sti version 2, which is fitted with a 2.1 stroker and sc36 running 400bhp.

James took part in the ScoobySprint last year and this will be his 5th SSO He is also familiar with the rallying heritage of the Impreza, having done several single stage rallies and working alongside Andy McKenna at the “Ice Driver” rally school.

Andy McKenna: Professional racing driver and motor sport driving coach

Andy McKenna, is worldly known for operating the “Ice Driver” racing school in Scandinavia, where driving on frozen lakes at high speeds is the norm! When Andy wanted a quick and reliable Subaru to use as a training vehicle on the ice, he of course turned to ScoobyClinic.

Andy will be running the 22B of ScoobyClinic’s MD Kevin Knight in the SSO. The 22B is Kev’s every day driver and serves as a test mule for many of the tuning parts available from the ScoobyClinic.

In full road trim, Andy piloted the rarest Subaru to within 0.62 seconds of Olly Clark in the RCM “Gobstopper” at a previous SSO, which is testament to the car and driver.

Mark Pettit: ScoobyClinic

Mark will be piloting Andy McKenna’s company car at the SSO, but it’s no Vectra or Mondeo! More used to being sideways on the Scandinavian frozen lakes, than racing around a circuit or up the strip, the “Ice Driver” Impreza will be put through its paces at the SSO.

Mark can usually be found operating the Dyno at ScoobyClinic, making sure your pride and joy is in fine fettle.

Clive Fulcher: TOTB/Drag Shoot Out

Clive’s ’98 STi RA is a welcome addition to team “ScoobyClinic”. With a spec list longer than your arm, this is built with one thing in mind, and that’s speed! The Classic Impreza provides a home for a full race-spec 2.35 engine, and was the first to try one of ScoobyClinic’s cutting edge SC35 billet turbo’s. With the afore mentioned Aladdin’s cave of options fitted to the car, Clive’s Subaru is now pushing out over 600bhp, and equipped with full race suspension it’s fully capable of putting all that power down on the tarmac.

Clive’s RA is also the first car to benefit from the collaboration between ScoobyClinic and Zen Performance. Paul at Zen mapped the car ensuring the best performance was extracted from the Billet turbo set up.

Weather permitting on the day we could be looking at another 9 second car from ScoobyClinic/Zen.

Mikee Singh: Time Attack/Drag Shoot Out

Mikee regularly competes in the Time Attack and Drag shoot outs in ScoobyClinic’s “Pink” Impreza alongside Kev Horsley.

Responsible for setting a 9.91sec @ 132mph ¼ mile at this years TOTB, Mikee will be piloting an all new purpose built drag car which will be unveiled at this year’s event.

Holder of several world records for drag racing Subaru’s, Mikee will be looking to add to his previous Drag Shootout wins in 2008 and 2009 at the SSO.

We’d love to see as many Subaru’s as possible at Elvington on the 3rd October to support the ScoobyClinic team, so come along to cheer the guys on, and see what they can do for your Subaru.

Banny, pop over on the day mate and il tell you as much as I know, will be a fair few 1st gear corners for our cars, keep an eye on tyre pressure, nice and controlled into the corners and quick out there as its very understeery.

If you want to do ok then you'll need either r888's (part worn or illegal will be ok still) or some rally slicks in soft.

Work wonders, just rips road tyres up.

EDIT;

by the looks of the scoobclinic team everyone will have their work cut out, some quick cars with experienced drivers.

They have a wider shoulder on the tyres and harder sidewalls so they don't fold when cornering mega hard.
