Default Just gone back to OE pads from ds2500...

Just thought i would post this for anyone who is thinking about leaving the OE pads behind and going for something better like the ds2500.

Ive just put OE pads in to save the ds2500's for the track.

The difference is huge. The initial bite is slightly better on the OE. But when you brake hard they just dont bite like the ds2500's.

After two slow stops the ds2500's out perform the OE pad in every way in my opinion.

The performance difference is huge. Ive only realised since ive put OE back on.

might swap them back tonight and live with the cost

I thought the thread was going to go the other way, going by the title

Standard pads are made to be quiet, work from cold and perform normal braking. They will always give stop well from high speed once, but trying that again a couple of times straight after without cooling the brakes

Always best to have a pad that fits in with your particular style of driving and the cars usage.

Some people don't need any more than standard pads whilst others need full on race compounds (on the road!)

I thought that even on one stop from say 60, the OE pads didnt have the bit when the pedal was pushed hard. the never had that with the ds's

i had a similar experience going from EBC Red's to DS2500's, the pedal feels harder for some reason with the DS's but the car stops a lot more progressively than on the ebc's, also noticed that the disc surface is a lot smother and duller in appearance after the switch.

Exactly what I found Tazz - although I did go to AP's at the same time - initally I was disappointed as I felt I had to press the pedal harder when compared to the redstuff on the OE setup, however the first time I braked for a roundabout from speed I noticed that I did not need to increase the pressure over the duation of braking as the bite remained constant - also the car actually stopped at the second roundabout!

They've been added on the disc options but not on their own yet.

Just PM me your application and any details of anything you want price matching

Has anyone tried the DS2000's?

I was talking to a chap the other day that swears by them over the DS2500's.
