You need ET48-53.

But WHY 18's? They are dreadful on a classic, spoiling the ride and the handling

ET is the wheel offset.

As above...ET gives the offset. Don't ask me to explain it, LOL, but ET48-53 fits.

However......be careful. WRX 17 wheels, for example, will fit over rear STi Brembos, but NOT the front ones. Yet STi 17" wheels WILL fit over both...it's to do with spoke design.

Best, if you insist on ruining the car to ask M4GGY, who knows what will fit and what won't. Choose a wheel and post your question, or PM him.

Forgot to say: have a look at 17's, fit nicely, better ride AND handling.

For 18" wheels : Offset (ET) 42-53
Width 7.5
Bolt Pattern (PDC) 5x100

Tyres you will need: 215-35 or 225-35 profile

As above you need 5x100.

The WRX rims are 7inch width. Which is what I have.

The STi version of these is 7.5 inch but I believe these will rub on a Classic without modding arches and all that.

I have a set of 17s on my classic sti that cover the 4 pots they are et 42 I think so you can retain 17s if your not bothered about brembos etc

I have a set of 18s up for grabs, they are Playgdesign alloys you can see them here

http://www.swapz.co.uk/swapz/4326033...x112_fitments/

now they fit the newage as they are 8j woith no issues, although the current tires on them will rub on the arches of the classic so you have to fit stretched tires they will then go on without issues, although I don't want stretched look on mine so selling them

if you put ET38 8J alloys they just catch the arch approx. 2mm, although if you put 215/35x18s on they don't rub, that's what I have got but I don't want to put the 215/35x18s tires on as I don't want the stretched look on my impreza

the ET48 will rub all the arch as its 10mm further out than mine if I had ET35 8j they would have cleared and not rubbed with the 225/40x18 tyres fitted

What size tyres do you run?

Are the 7.5s the STi version of the wheels Alcazar has?

I've tried 18 inch rims on a classic and after the tracking was done it still did not feel right,in my opinion 17"for handling and 18"for show.SJ.

i had 18s on my last one and it handled perfectly after tracking and camber sorted, i never had a problem with handling when using 18s yet!!!

also yes they are 7.5j on the STI alloys that's why the brembos go on or 4 pots, the spoke design on the rear is flatter (mine are 7.5j on my Scooby powder coated black multispoke) Radius Advanced Automotive Alloys (Subaru optional extra alloys when new JDM)

I have just put my 18s on ebay to sell see if anyone wants them on their

i am running 7.5j 17" Radius Advanced Automotive alloys at the moment with 215/45x17 tires

Although i want to run 18s as i have a Ksport 6pot break upgrade to go on mine and the minimum size wheel recommended is a 18"

I bought some 18" 8J 5x100 ET38 alloys with 225/40x18 tires fitted but they catch the arches by about 2mm, although i can use the 215/35x18 tire and they wont catch, but my problem is cause they are a 8j wheel the tires will stretch at 35 series and only 215 and that's not what i want to do, if i had bought either 7.5j alloys or ET35 8j alloys they would have fit without issue on my classic sti

So i have put my 18s on ebay to sell now, advertised them on here as well but no ones got back to me so just whack em on fleecebay shame cause i like the alloys and they cost me just under a grand
