Default Buzzing/humming sound from brakes

Recently replaced the front pads and discs on my type R. I went from AP drilled discs and Ferodo pads to Performance Friction grooved discs and Pagid rs29 pads but now I get a buzzing/humming sound once the car is moving. The sound stops as soon as I hit the brake pedal but it's there again once I lift off the pedal any ideas?

These are the discs I've fitted and the grooves are facing towards the rear of the car. I initially thought the grooves might be facing the wrong way hence the irritating buzzing sound but apparently not????

Have you checked for any foreign material in the caliper like a stone rubbin on the inside, or something behind the shield? Determine which side it is take it from there

backing plate contacting the rotor??
you dont mention what brake kit you have but presume its an AP caliper, is it the correct thickness brake pad and clearances correct/discs "dialed in" to check run-out??

Think I have the same issue & it was pretty constant sounded like the gentle rattle of a tambourine or a washer spinning on a bolt.

I have changed discs & pads all round as they were ready for doing but noise is still there but not as loud & less often but it is so annoying.

Anyone any concrete ideas!!

I did checkover both sides and nothing seemed to be in the calipers.

Yes alyn brakes are AP 6 pots. I can't hear the noise when the brakes are cold only once they warm up? The kit was bought from yourself so I don't think there's any issue with fitment and I'll have to check the backing plate but everything was checked and rechecked when i fitted them

Reading other forums apparently this is the norm with grooved discs and nothing to worry about but i won't be able to put up with it

Mine sounds VERY similar to this but a little deeper.........

It doesn't seem loud because the exhaust note drowns it out but when youre driving along a road that has high kerbs / railings then it's a little louder.

Can't see this being the issue as I had OEM discs & have renewed with grooved.

If it is any help, i had grooved discs fitted to my 350z and got a similar buzzing sound. Just the noise of the air being squashed between the groove and the pad as the disc goes round. One of the draw backs of grooved discs.

It got on my nerves at first but i got used to it.

Thanks for this but it is intermittent for me for instance I have not heard anything now for a week or so & I experience this noise before I fitted grooved discs.

Cheers mate but it is bloody annoying listening to that buzz I bet some people duck for cover mistaking the car for a huge bee buzzing their way
