Question Warped Disks?

hi iv got a Wr1 and it has the Tarox slotted disks on the front. i bought it with these on and apparently it got competetion pads?

there is alot of vibration through the steering wheel when i brake, does this mean the disks are warped? can they be refaced?

they have the brembo calipers on so they will be 326mm disks i think.

I would say it does sound like a warped disc, not sure if this can be corrected.

You can measure any variation with a little tool ( can't remember the name), fix it to the disc and turn the wheel and you can tell if it's warped or not

I've had my discs skimmed in the past with pro skim there are a few around I paid £10 a corner. Also depends if you have a decent life left on discs.

may not be warped, may be just deposits on them.

Have you tried a few heavy stops from quick, to try and clean them?

No a DTI gauge , it measures the run out of the disc as you turn the discs

Something like this....

Isn't there a franchise called Pro-Cut for disk skimming, having said that most places can arrange it.
