GB270 Tyres
Standard width is 225x40x18 - On the wagon these width tyres will 'nudge' the rubber wheel arch surround but miss the actual wheel arch iteself - 235 tyres would hit the metal of the wheel arch (not sure on the saloon though?) when cornering hard or heavily loaded.
Also found that 235x40x18 or 225x45x18 tyres were a bit cheaper than the standard fit - not sure why really.
Got Michelin PS3's on mine now - better in the wet than the Pirelli's and considerably better in the snow. They have a better wear rate as well. Perform much the same in the dry but are not as sharp feeling as the Pirelli PZero (MO) or Goodyear Asym's.
