My local parts stockist recons there are three possible types of Mintex rear pads for my MY96 WRX (Jap import - standard set-up).

Anyone know the part numbers? Is he talking sense?

Any advice gratefully accepted along with info about how to check which type of pads are used.

Don't know if you saw my post on cheap mintex pads?
Easy way to check is like I did.Take a pad off, draw round it and take it to the parts place.They should have a mintex book showing the size and shape of all the available pads.
I know it's a fiddle but this way you are certain to get the right ones and can save time in the long run.

Thanks Ged, no I didn't see your post unfortunately - it's a pity the search doesn't work!

Anyway, yes I know the dealer has a Mintex catalog, but it's about an inch thick!
I was just trying to narrow the possible pads down a bit.
What I did for the front pads was to take them in, to match them but I knew it was one of 3 or 4 different ones - so it didn't take too long to find them, I wouldn't like to go through the whole catalog!

Mac's Power

Mintex book has a quick find in the front and is quite easy to find what you are looking for. If you want to mail me with the shape of the pads I'll look them up when I'm in the garage.
