Default ET35 fitment?

Ive been looking around for some new alloys for my Uk Impreza Turbo and have noticed some Volkswagon alloys are the same, 5 x 100 PCD but ET35.

Would these still fit a Subaru, if im honest I dont understand what the "ET35" part actually means?

Anyone shed any light on the subject?

Default

dont know if they will fit... but the ET part determines how far the wheel will stick in or out from the wheel arch.
