I'm just about to replace a nearly new tyre to be on the safe side, but am I wasting £88?
I thwacked it on a kerb, so hard the lights went off momentarily. I pulled over and found a bulge in the side wall about the size of a 50p.
I put the spare on straight away - my reckoning is a blowout is going to cost a whole lot more than a new tyre.
But am I being over cautious & wasting money?
Any ideas folks?

Good decision: you're definitely not being over cautious. I had a damaged tyre blow @ 30-40mph and that was pretty scary! At higher speeds, it doesn't bear thinking about...

Thanks everbody - thought I had to do it!
Eagle F1 replaced at Bathwick Tyres - efficient & good value as ever.
And with the new tyre, an annoying vibration at 70mph has gone too, which having the old one rebalanced didn't fix
