Default loud click/crack when brakes are pressed

so my 2007 hawk sti has developed a rather loud click/crack sound from the front brakes. it only happens the once and it doesnt do it all the time but it happens as soon as the pedal is pressed.

car has brembos with godspeed g-hook discs/pf pads.

once it has happened it could be any number of times being pressed before it happens again, from what i can gather its mainly after a long run it happens.

Sounds like the pads moving in the calipers...quite common.

I have the same brake set and did get this type of noise after washing the car.. I now use a brake cleaner and found some deposits of dirt etc come out of the J Hooks. Now I get no noises. I also applied a good amount of cooper grease.
