Default Brembos vs my stock 17's, will they fit?

Hi All,

I wanted to upgrade to the sti brembo kit for Impreza WRX 2009 hatch, I have the standard 17's fitted. Is this a no go or has someone got them to fit?
Your help/advice would be much appreciated.
I have attached image of my wheel.

Thanks,

I must admit when I put brembos on my hatch I did already have 18" wheels on it as I think you may struggle with 17" ones.

@nikon-man & @bustaMOVEs, thanks. @bustaMOVEs when you say 114.3, is that a bolt pattern or what measurement are you referring too?

Thanks,

114.3 is the bolt pattern. also offset on the brembo caliper is high so will prob clash

Ok @Tidgy thanks, I take it I need 5x100 for my WRX 2009 hatch. When you said probably clash are you referring to my current rims, or the proposed rims?

ok @nikon-man, so I need to go for 18 that are 5 x 100 do avoid adapters/spacers etc. Any particular measurements I need to keep in mind because ive heard that not all 18 can take the brembos?

I had monza r team dynamics on my hatch and they fitted fine when I changed to the prodrive gt1 wheels they needed a small spacer...

This upgrade is starting to become quite interesting the only way to got from here is 18's 100% I take it. Quite a few dimensions to take into account, central bore, offset etc.
Do you know what spec is common place i.e good rage of tyres to choose from, basically I dont what to get any 18's with quirky dimensions.
I dont mind used so will hunt through forum, just need to look out for 5 x 100.

There's are a few 17s that clear brembos too, but you will have to focus on 5x100 pcd.
Plenty out there that clear in 17s you just need to be careful on what wheel you buying. Eg all pre hatch sti with a 100pcd sti wheels clear, most rotas clear and a host of others
Do, no. Your not stuck with 18s only
