Discs for brembos
hi guys
so whats the benefit of having drilled discs or G discs over smooth discs.
I am talking for brembo calipers
you hear some say drilled are the best thing since sliced bread others say do use them etc
I know pads are also key to a good system
I would be interested to hear what people have on there cars and why !!!

Drilled are not a disc I would buy really as they can crack around the holes,the dimpled circles the performance friction disc use on their disc are different though and do not go straight through the disc material and have been proved on track but their disc material they use are quality and that is the key...thats why you pay the extra doe for them.The idea behind grooves and dimples is to help gases escape and keep the pad surface cleaner, you can get solid surface disc that work but in my opinion it all comes down to the quality of material used in the make up of a disc in the first place.SJ.

Brembo know this...but do they fit stainless inserts now, from new, to avoid it?
Nope.
Have they altered the design to stop it happening? Nope.
It's all about £££, not service or performance.
