AP CP5555 vs CP7040 calipers?
Anyone know whether one is better than the other or any major differences? So far I have managed to dig up that the 7040 pads are cheaper and they have better dust seals, but the 5555 is slightly lighter and has a larger pad area.
Anybody used either of these or able to provide a back to back comparison? Or are the differences so minor either would be fine? This is for a track car so any advantage, even tiny, is worthwhile

Mine look like the first option.... just awesome for a road car.
Haven't had the car on track ( or whole ) since 2012, and they are currently on a friends 700+ bhp sprint/drag car !

AP website has loads of technical info, do a search on their site then scroll through the tabs. You can find out pad area, piston sizes, weights etc etc
my 7040 kit will be for sale as soon as my upgrade turns up
