cars gone in for respray simply beacuse im fussy!!!
hi im new to your as i bought myself a widetrack sti impreza a couple of months back and it awsome!! i am a very fussy guy and the slightest scratch gets on my nerves and unfortunatly my car had a few light scratches and some small stone chips. they really get to me so i decided to book my car in for a respray. everyone thinks im off my head but its gotta be done!! there hardly noticeable but i know they are there!!
heres my car the day i got it!!!
i removed bumpers and lights today and dropped it off at the bodyshop for them do do there magic on it!!
i will try and update the progress everyday!!!!

dont know yet buddy will pay whatever it is!! im lucky i wrk in a garage and we have a body shop aswell so it will be done at my work by a **** hot painter so im hoping ill get it done cheap!!will update everynight hopefully!!

Fair play to you Phill lot of work removing all lights, bumpers etc..but if it to be done tidy thats whats got to be done..[img]/grinning-smiley-17116.gif[/img]

respray
hi guys were on evening no 2 of the respray!! as i work through the day were are doin my car at evenings.havent had much time to take many pics yet but will take more tomoz!!
night 1 after it all stripped down and some rubbing down done!!
night 2 and mostly rubbed down and stopper applied on stone chips and primed!!
bumper ready for primer!!
Will upload more pics tomoz and will keep you updated!!

Nice progress, you'll be parking in the quieter areas of car parks from now on avoiding any potential door dings I bet, I probably would.

dont use my car that often buddy. i have a t5 transporter van for everyday use! i maybe be a little bit to fussy but thats the way i am and always been!!

respray update night 3
hi guys just a little update on the progress from tonights work!! its coming along good!! hopefully will be ready for painting on saturday.happy days
heres a few pics for you guys!!
i have decided not to paint the roof just the sides and front as the rest is in mint condition!!
Will update progress same time tommorow. hehe!!

cars finally painted
car is finally painted after a long hard 4 nights preporation to get it ready for paint. it was well worth it as it is now exactly how i wanted it. Mint condition!!!
all i have left to do now is front and rear bumpers!! and then put it all back together!!
feel free to comment guys i know alot of you think im probably off my head but im so fussy its unreal!!

Looks like a great job!
Since you have access to a spray shop in your spare time I would imagine it isn't costing a lot more tham hard graft and there are plenty of us on here who would happily spend the kind of time on the car you have to make it mint if only we had the means.
What I am saying is, in normal society you may look quite crazy but around here you are just as crazy as the rest of us which makes you perfectly sane!!

Great thread. Scratches, rust and dents do my head in so if you've got the cash totally understand why you got a re-spray. Looks mega now! I'm so fussy got them too touch up bits in the engine bay. You have a scooby coz you love it.

Well another night at the workshop and the car is going back together and it is looking great!! im so glad that i went ahead and got it done because those little stone chip really let the car down!!
bumpers are gonna get primed tommorow night!!
i also bought this for it!! ive seen them on a few scoobys and it sets it off really nice so i thought to myself why the hell not!!
