Default I've Got Another Set Of Wheels...

I've just got myself a set of Rays Volks Racing CE28N which I picked up last night from the seller in Aberdare.

Although they are in need of a refurb I've still had a bit of a bargain, given that the price for a set of four of these wheels is around £2500.

With them needing a refurb I am going to change the colour from gold to bronze, but as Rays do not give colour codes I am going to go for a BWM colour called Sepang Bronze A32 which is a very close match for the bronze that Rays use.

For anyone who doesn't know the wheels they are as below:

The only thing now is where can I get a set of replacement centre caps (which don't even come with the wheels from new)? All the prices I have seen so far are around £130 for a set of four.

And everyone's favourite wheel pixie is on the case.

Thanks Mark, a little understated when compared to the orange STi wheels I've got.

Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to stop for a cuppa as I had to get back to work as I was on call, but Steve has certainly enjoyed owning his Impreza having taken it over to the ring and tracked it as well.

A real gent to deal with as well.

So you got the Revolution Milleniums in the end? What size did you go for in the end?

Nice wheels as well, should go well with the white calipers.

I'm not sure to be honest which of my previous wheel sets I'm going to keep between the orange STi wheels and the Inovit ST VI's.

The car is off the road at the moment but will be back in use shortly, so I'll make a choice then I've also had the mirror caps done in the same orange. The wheels and the mirrors do compliment each other well, so I've got a tough choice to make shortly as I like the ST VI's as well. But 3 sets of wheels is a bit OTT even for me.

I can't wait to get back onto 17" rims, as I have found even when the geometry is sorted you can still get some tramlining (although not too bad) on 18" rims.

Very Nice them Ty, very nice. Show wheels i rekon, or you'll be going even slower on the runs if you put them shoes on her!!

The revs look cool too Merv, as ty said, should stand out nicely with the white Calipers.

Good work men

Thanks Cliff, that's exactly the size I've got - I've been pretty lucky with help from a member on here I found a set of Rays S202 wheels for £165 in need of a refurb and now these came up at a good price but they do need a refurb badly.

I've every confidence they'll come back looking like new but I hadn't thought about the finish; gloss, satin or matt?

Definitely these wheels will be for 'best' and not for everyday use, but I am still not sure on which wheels to keep the orange STi or the Inovit ST6 (Rays TE37 copies)?

I'd love to keep them all but unfortunately I don't have room for them all.

Well i spose the logical thing to do would be to actually physically pop the orange ones on, take a photo, put it on here, do the same with the other 2 sets(when fin-ito) and let us decide!! I do like the inovits on her, im sure the orange 'uns will look good 2 but we NEED pics!!!

Oh and if ya after storage space, im sure i know of somwhere where we could arrange an arrangment!

Get them on!!
