Morning all I posted a few days ago that there was a knocking noise from my engine bay and I thought my bottom end had gone. Well this Monday whilst doing the school run a big bang occured and a loud blowing noise had started (I thought the worst had happened) pulled the car over called the rac after around a hour the guy turned up told me to start the car as soon as he heard the noise he said turn it off that doesn't sound good. He checked the car over and found the problem a spark plug had worked it's way loose he took the battery out refitted the spark plug and yes all sounds good and my scooby is back to it's flying best. Thanks for the advice guys and happy driving.

 

great news - glad you are sorted - just out of interest did you have any smoke from the exhaust /

 

Not that I noticed, I was to pre occupied with the knocking noise to be honest I could of been towing a caravan (if I had a towbar) and probably not of noticed to be honest lol.

 

Cheers for that - was hoping there was smoke (in a way !! LOL ) and I could put my probs down to plugs !!!
