Does anyone know the site's view on advertising / offering services rendered (and I'm not talking about the sexual kind!). I often get told by friends that they paid x amount for such & such work and think I could have done that cheaper, so am thinking about becoming more proactive and start earning myself some pocket money to spend on the scoob

Will do, it's not advertising as such but offering people help before they ask if they had a good deal.
