Default OVERBOOSTING???

Hi Guys,
I think my 05 wrx is overboosting. When I accelerate with the throttle fully open it seems to splutter slightly then carry on as normal. This normally happens between 3000-4500 rpm. Does anyone know a place in Wales I can take it for diagnosis or is Power Station in Tewksbury the best bet?

hi mate it could be because the weather is so cold, has it got any modz like exhaust/ air filter ect.... as the combo of those and the cold weather could make it over boost if it hasen't been re mapped with those modz as for places to take it you could go to ace motorsport newport way or dave coe in swansea and are all very good with scoobys

VC had the same problem a few weeks ago. Sorted with a new set of plugs, this may not be the same for you though.

See if you can get a PSI unit to plug in and see if you have any faults flashing up.

Cheers, As far as I know it's totally standard. I have a hunch it may be the plugs as the garage I bought it off had it serviced and I'm not convinced they changed the plugs. I'll fit some new one this weekend and see how it goes.
Thanks for the help.

when you said you think its over boosting i thought the fuel cut was cutting in like a rev limiter as its over boosting but can't be overboosting if it's the plugs just missing or something, would be worth getting a boost gauge or if you have one whats it boosting too ??
