Default Dump valve

Hi Chris an Gem
Thankyou very much for lettin me borrow your dump valve. Unfortunatly i put it on last night and went for a test drive and the problem hasnt gone. When ever its convenient for me to drop it back to you let me know.

ye problems still there.

The problem is that when i accelarate past 3,500 sometimes it wont boost it just splutters and pops and bangs. also the whole car jurks violently.

i already changed the MAF
Knock sensor
lamder sensor
oxygen sensor in the inlet manifold(i think)
but still the problem is there. any ideas?

Boost Solenoid could be dodgey.

When I had a re-map a while ago on my Newage it seemed to "pulse" or "surge" at a certain rev/speed.

Had the Solenoid changed and bingo!

The Solenoid works this. Have a look at the actuator and associated bits too.

sounds like fuel cut due to overboost.you may have a split pipe or check that you havent got a bleed valve as these can cause overboost.

Agree with Daz on this buddy, had it on my old classic, first time it happened I nearly headbutted the steering wheel!! Fitted a fuel cut defender but was a pain to set up so I changed to a Walbro fuel pump and bingo problem went!!

What spec is your car??

I was talking to him last night and he already has an uprated fuel pump.
