Been on rally for last 20 years, but will not be going this year. Part of the fun was planning the whole operation to see as many stages as possible in just a few days. Now they just want to herd you around to wherever they want you to go. And rip you off at the same time. Til a few years ago it was £5/car to get into the forest. Now they want £75/person. No way.
I'm going to go over to the Monte in Jan Though I'll probably go to the shakedown over here just to say Ive been this year.
Chip.

It's *HOW MUCH* this year?!?!?!?!?
So, it now costs a fortune to go into the forests and you get the honour of spotting the mobile speed camera vans that spring up all round the stages. Grrrrrrr!
I go every year but I might have to rethink it this year if it's that much...

Has anyone recieved their tickets yet?
I'm a bit confused regarding the ticket strategy this year:
Looking at the network Q site, is it correct that the pre-ordered tickets only cover a couple of stages?
Last year I had a book for all the days stages and could pick and choose where to go.
If the above is true and the ticket stages are limited how do you get to see the stages not covered by tickets?
Cheers
Rich
btw. i agree it looks a complete rip-off (£10 supplement on single orders, where the hell did that come from?), may have to stay at home this year

I will be following all weekend....the missus bought us both weekend passes for my birthday... bless her

Not decided yet whether I'll be out in the scooby or in a purple rover metro knigtsbridge!!
Either way, both cars will be adorned with the scoobynet stickers and my DAVE-W side window stickers
I can just see the little metro now

Shakedown uses exactly the same bit of Rheola as last year. Differences are that it's on Thursday instead of Wednesday, and this year you've got to pay to get in. Admission is part of the 'Thursday day pass' - along with SS1, and stage is open from 08:00 to 14:00
You won't see us at shakedown, as car's due at scrutineering at 12:05 or something like that, so not much point sticking it on the trailer and rushing up to Rheola for ten minutes running, especially as we'd then have to bung it back on the trailer and rush back to Cardiff in time to have her cleaned back up in time for the start.
Catch you in service and out on the real stages though!
