Default De cat exhaust mot fail

Hi can anyone help? I've got a V3 JDM STI with a de cat exhaust. The sympathetic MOT guy that i used to go to is no longer able to do it for me. Any one know a sympathetic guy who could help me? Or do i need to bite the bullet and splash out on a sports cat exhaust ( will that be good enough to get it through emissions test?).
Grateful for any help guys!!!
Thanks

You could borrow one then put your old one back but lots of work unless the spare one is not already fitted. Personally I would go for a sports cat and turn your ecu down to a lower setting if poss for the test

Same here, it does have to be hot, but the tester knows this and just warms it up enough to pass.

I have a standard centre section with the 2nd cat that i use for the mot for my V3, takes 15 mins to change it and passes the mot fine each time.
