[QUOTE=Cannon Fodder;11920263]Well the likely cause of the suspension clonking has been identified as the driver's side wishbone rear bush. So I've ordered a set of STi Group N bushes from Advanced Automotive in Bristol which should be with me next week.
Plus I've ordered some further STi goodies from Japanparts.com whilst my wallet was taking a bashing.
Bump till pics arrive

I got the balance of my order today from japanparts.com, there's nothing like a bit of STi pink to brighten up your day.
So now to get them fitted, and then get the geometry alignment redone.
Plus as it's off the road I'm also going to get the frunt and rear bumpers repainted due to stone chips on the front bumper and the rear bumper is marked due to a clumsy previous owner.
The rear carbon spoiler is also being relacquered as the lacquer has gone slightly 'milky' due to sun exposure, they even warn you of this happening in the owner's handbook.

Ohhh man, this looks so good, i love to see cars from this age in a condition like that. This proofs passion from the owner. Is this treatment done from a special company or product ?
Hope my new spec c will be in a similar condition underneath

It was done prior to the first UK owner taking ownership of the car (I'm the second UK owner), I believe that Hurst Cars had it done. It's a clear product and very good.

Nude And Exposed
So the front and rear bumpers are off the car for painting so I thought it would give me the opportunity to clean areas of the car you normally can't get to or do.
It surprised me the amount of crud trapped behind the bumpers, I knew it might be dirty but I didn't expect it this bad.
So it's nice and clean in those areas now, I knew they go for weight saving on the Spec C but have a look at the front bumper crash bar and compare it to the standard STi item.
Plus some pics of the freshly painted front and rear bumpers, with the fog lamp covers and front bumper winglets.
There's nothing like the high gloss finish on freshly painted bumpers.

So today saw the fitment of the front and rear bumpers plus trims etc, the car will have it's MOT test this forthcoming week, and the suspension goodies will be fitted with the geometry alignment to be done after that.
Having seen the pics I definitely need to get better sized number plates as they look odd especially the front plate.

It's surprising how much the traffic and posts have dropped off in the Welsh section, compared to how it used to be.
I know the SWS Facebook page is quite busy but not everyone uses Facebook, shame really to see the Welsh section slowly die off.

Today saw the fitment of the STi rear suspension goodies, plus the intercooler hose and header tank cap.
So next is to get the suspension geometry put back to factory settings, I'm looking forward to seeing the improvement in the handling.

Good luck with your car, it's a very slippery slope when you start spending.
