Default Readily available mappers and ecu choice

Thinking of getting my v2 sti ra mapped in the not so decent future and thinking of tying it in with my paternity leave,

I've always seen good results with previous scoobs so will definately do again along with some supporting mods,

I've been told that the alkatek is a far more superior upgrade to the esl so if this is the route I take who within a decent travelling distance from South Wales can map the car along with fitting a few parts

A few mappers I've used in the past seem to have a long waiting list so will be good to hear your opinions on experiences you've had

Regards

Orite mate I used powerstation to have my T20 mapped and have to say hats off to the guys there. Rang them had a chat and was booked in for the following week for my map.

Give them a call and see what they can do for you, I would 100% use them again, hope this helps.

I used/use Duncan from racedynamix, top bloke gives good advice and will travel to you and even though he's busy he replies to emails and returns calls/txts as with other mappers they all don't return calls or are to busy to answer questions so +1 for race dynamix for me.

Cheers for comments, haven't used them before but will make some enquiries, previous mapper I used wasn't always the easiest to get hold of so will look to use one of the above,

Any advice on ecu's?

Rather than change the ECU I would look at having an ESL daughterboard fitted onto your existing one.. The ESL has come on a long way they are now road mappable and iirc you can also remove the MAF and run without.

As above speak to Duncan at RaceDynamics. Did a type RA I build the other day in Carmarthen, he's mobile and is a good guy.
