Love Scooby classics. Did you buy it locally? There's loads of cheapish parts to mod a classic enjoy and I'm sure there will be peeps along to offer there advice and assistance.

Found it online on gumtree in Swindon so travelled down yesterday and brought it back. I love the classic look aswell, only looking at light modding for now nothing drastic love the clean look to be honest, quite rare the clean looking scooby lol

Hiya butty. I spend a fair amount of time in Penarth but there are some other locals, even Basrah but he's got an Evo lol.

I started with a Silver UK Classic to, enjoy, be realistic with what you want and more importantly enjoy!

Thats cool, whats the welsh scooby scene like? Not looking to do anything drastic with it really, kinda like the classic feel to it just fancy some different alloys, colour coded handles and some interior changes but thats it for now

Have a look at the Opie site for the best oils and deals. Oil is not a dark art as some people make out and depelnding on what your use of the car is like or what mods etc will help you decide. I use Millers Semi Synthetic Nanodrive 10W-40. Like tyres, do not go cheap as the engine is the heart of the car and Subaru's are quite oil sensitive.

I use Prestone Long Life Coolant from COSTCO at £11 for a gallon. It's multi engine stuff, is very good and is bloody expensive elsewhere.

Its only got k and n air filter and different exhaust on it atm so nothing major modded. Heard alot about the 'use subaru only coolant' arguments going about, any fact to that?

Fair enough sounds like a scooby marketing scheme lol not ginna be able to drive for another 6 weeks so got plenty of time to make some changes. Anyone had any of the red stuff brake pads before? And anyone ever tackled changing the hoses to silicon hoses?

Hoses twice and about to do it again with a coolant and gearbox oil change thrown in for good measure.

Samco are one of the best. The factory is in Llantrisant but they do not have a public shop. The OE Subaru stuff is pretty good but can work out more expensive than aftermarket.

But like most stuff, buy cheap pay twice.
