Default JGM store openning and racerom

Dont often post in here but thought I would to highlight the planned website revamp Planned for early next year including the sales of choice mods, nothing worse than fitting something that doesn't work and likewise trying to map a car with substandard parts hence I will only sell stuff I know works

This will include 3port boost solenoids, td04 hybrids, td0516g 18g 20g billet and non billet versions, 321H T and V, walbro pumps, newage and classic injectors etc. All at competitive prices with ecu and mod package discounts available. Pm or email to discuss anything you need.

Other exciting news (map geek alert) the long awaited ecutek racerom is due for release in january which should enhance hawk and hatch mapping further.
Also discussed with ecutek today the want for extra mapping features for 01 to 05 bug and blob.

Already do free dyno time or travel (within reason) for new simtek, ecutek or syvecs remaps, however it is christmas so I am sure a further deal can be struck.

Twin boost settings and launch control has been available for UK new age Sti and WRX for ages, gear judge is also available on some cars, the JDM Sti's can be given full twin maps in addition using Megarom, you need to take care as not all the later cars will run it properly.

Ecutek are very focused on completing outstanding projects for GTR and Race Rom plus the ongoing work of investigating new models across their whole product range. Twin maps etc for the throttle cable cars has been the subject of discussion for some time and they will get to it as and when. Race Rom may spin off something that encourages that process.

But I don't think its just around the corner.

Just so people do not think its a "just like that" process.

cheers

Thanks uncle bob

The problem with the current twin full maps is no way of indicating which map you are on, which was discussed as being addressed along with the same options for all 01-05.

So there is potential here for the older cars to have per gear boost control? As opposed to just the standard boost control available now?

Could you explain the benefits? Thanks

As close to same boost in all gears

Due to the differing load you get less boost normally in say 2nd compared to 5th.

It is an added bonus to be able to run differing boost duty in each gear.

Thanks for that Simon, sounds great. Look forward to seeing some results, I knew the newer cars, and standalone ECUs were capable of it, but it's quite exciting knowing that the capability is coming to more cars.

Gear judge and by gear wastegate duty compensation has been in the AH591MS and megarom files from the beginning, dead useful, the gear judge is also std in some WRX roms as well, not added in. I have that all set up in base maps as the norm.

The twin boost levels are obviously different, but in using mega rom for differing fuels then it is a concern to have to remember which map you are on, race rom flashes the cel at you accordingly and thats what was discussed when I was down at ecutek tuning on their dyno. But it definitely will need something if not that.

cheers
