Hi Steve
No we cannot accept calipers back with any damage to the castings , its not fair on the next customer who has them , if I doubt they would accept them.
We can recondition your own calipers for you , takes us 2 full days to do them , if you want to send them into us we will sort them out for you
Cheers Ian

To recondition Brembo and AP 4 & 6 pot calipers we charge £75 each to completely strip them down , paint strip if needed , bead blast , prime and spray them , chemically clean the seals , polish the pistons , and rebuild them , if the seals have any damage , they are changed which costs extra , seals start at around £25 per caliper.
Although we spray the calipers , we don't paint in any logo's , we leave that to the customer to do
Cheers Ian

I am currently stripping down my 4 pot front + 2 pot rear calipers to replace the seals and piston's. When stripping down i have noticed that the seal between the two halfs of the calipers are worn. Does any one know where i can get new seals for that part from.
Thanks Steve

Hi Ian, could you give me a price for refurb of Subaru 4 pot fronts, and 2 pot rear please, painted black. Thanks - and sorry if this has been asked before, what about shipping costs, is that included? Or can you recommend a courier? Posting from London.

Thanks

Darren

Hi Ian, im curious how much it would be to refurb and paint a set of 2 pot floating calipers off a twinscroll legacy. one kept seizing, thats when i bought the AP calipers off you a while back. thinking of getting these refurbed and sell on. Also do you do any grooved 316 x 30mm discs?

im sending my AP racing front brakes to you for a recon and painted. i also need discs(304mm) and nut/bolt set for them.

is there anyway of upgrading the size of disc, would it be worth it?

can you paint the bells for me also. how much would this be in total?

p.s should be posted be Friday, how long do the take after receive by you?

thanks

HI
Yes we can recondition your calipers , they would be £235 a pair inc stainless steel pistons and new seals.
We do have one supplier that can get the 316mm front discs , they are not cheap though , i'll get an up to date price for you tomorrow

Hi
if you have 17" wheels , I can make you a 330mm disc to fit your bells along with spacers to fit between your calipers and bracket to fit them , this is a worthwhile upgrade and something I would recommend.

We wouldn't spray the bells , painting them never seems to last , we always anodise them , but then you can only do them from new , if you try to do old ones they never turn out nice.

It will take us 3-4 days to do it all for you

Cheers Ian

From the factory they are fitted with chrome plated mild steel pistons , and as the pistons move back and forth in the calipers , it wears the plating off , leaving a surface that rusts , which causes the pistons to seize up in the bore of the calipers.

We make our own stainless steel pistons that dont rust , so once we have worked our magic on them , they will never rust up and stick or seize again , when we get the calipers in , most are in a right state , we completely strip them down , throw all the pistons , bleed nipples and seals away , if they have been painted , we paint strip them , then bead blast them , which gets rid of all rust , dust and road muck so they come up like brand new castings , we primer them , and spray them any colour you want.

We fit brand new seals , stainless steel pistons and bleed nipples , they are fully assembled and pressure tested to make sure they are working perfectly , and will do so for years to come.

This is when we get them in , these are actually a better pair we get in lol , some look as though they have been left in the sea for years

These are our pistons and seals that we fit into the reconditioned castings

These are the finshed product , thats looks fantastic , and works perfectly being in a better than new state

We can offer this service , either you sending your calipers in for us to recondition , which takes us two full days to do , they are then sent back on a guaranteed overnight service , or we can send out a pair of calipers on an exchange basis , for you to fit or have fitted , and you send your old units back to us , the calipers you send back cannot have any damage to the calipers bodies , and all threads must be intact , and no snapped bleed nipples , on the exchange calipers , we require a deposit of £125 which is refundable once we get your calipers back in a condition we can use , any damage that can be repaired can be done , but it would be taken out of the deposit
Of all the calipers we have ever had back , we have only had 2 pairs that we couldn't use , and this was because the customers had hit them off the disc with a hammer because they were so badly seized onto the discs.

We offer this service for £229 a pair inc VAT , plus £15 P&P , and obviously the refundable deposit , and you to cover the cost of sending your old units back to us , we also offer a drive in drive out fitting service , we charge £50 to change your calipers and bleed them up

We can be contacted on 01656 723060 , email via ian@godspeedbrakes.co.uk or PM

Cheers Ian

Most of our customers have our parts couriered to them , to either fit themselves or get a local garage to fit them , any good mechanic will do it

Hi Ian, I am not satisfied with the finish of my black K-Sport calipers - the brushed satin effect is far too dull and they are just out of the box, so the future is bleak. Are you able to paint them gloss? Thinking black, red or yellow. Calipers are not in need of refurbishment - colour only.
How much would you charge? I would also need to have the rear OEM Subaru calipers painted to match.

Thanks
