Just thought I'd ask seeing as some pikeys have nicked a whole estates worth for scrap metal value

I just googled it - apparently they are the hardest to fall down a hole

Makes sense. There's no way a disc can fall through a round hole of a smaller diameter, whatever its orientation. Square ones could, though.

Would it be ironic, tragic or poetic justice if their caravan wheel went down the hole, thus triggering a chain of events that made the caravan explode, killing them all instantly?

It would be ironic if the cheapo replacement driveshaft on the caravan snapped because it had been made of inappropriate, manhole cover-grade iron.
