Just to make any new Muppets feel at home, I thought we should post pics of our cars.

Okay, I'll start. Here's my two...

From: Gay.com/Automotive .....

Subaru Outback Overview
Subaru was one of the first companies to come out in open support of the gay community -- and to back that support up with advertising. Now, Subaru's hiring of spokeswoman Martina Navratilova represents the boldest embrace yet between a car company and our community. Fittingly, the capable Outback sedan and wagon are good matches for our active lifestyles, with standard all-wheel drive, extra ride height and sensible, well-equipped interiors. In an automobile market plagued by sameness, the Subaru is a Japanese car with -- get this -- personality.
Styling
To some, the Outback's gallons of cladding are overkill, but without them, the Outback might just be another car. (The unclad version goes by the name of Legacy.) Admittedly, those huge fog lights and sparkly gold trim panels border on obnoxious -- but come on, have some fun here! Besides, should you be so inclined, paving your driveway with lava rock is suddenly a possibility.

Interior (dashboard/ergonomics)
The Outback's dashboard and controls are about as plain and straightforward as they get (in marked contrast to the exterior's busy-ness). Who wants surprises when it comes to ergonomics? The optional McIntosh stereo faceplate is very retro, very cool.

Interior (seats and space)
The seats hold you in place nicely when you're sending the all-wheel-drive Outback skating sideways in a four-wheel power slide. OK, so not many of us do that. Just know they're comfy. Love the dual moonroofs in Outback Limited and H6 wagons -- they're sort of modern-day-Vista Cruiser chic. Don't try to take three people in the backseat for a two-hour trip, though. I did, and they still aren't talking to me.

Nifty features
* VDC stability control is a good techno-option -- you'll never know it's saving your *** when it's saving your ***.
* The optional McIntosh sound system is one good reason to spend the dough on the nicest of the Outbacks (more than $30K).
* Ditto the optional OnStar service, which, if you've never used it, is like having both a personal assistant and a guardian angel riding shotgun.

Cargo space
In sedan form, there's not as much space in the back of the Outback as there is in most of its midsize competitors (about 10% to 15% less). The wagon, on the other hand, has room for monthly Costco runs and weekly trips to U-Wash-Your-Big-Huge-Doggie.

Engine
With its standard 165-horsepower four-cylinder and a fair amount of mass to motivate, acceleration is less than inspiring. Definitely worth the upgrade is a higher-trim-level Outback with the 3.0-liter, 212-hp six-cylinder, which manages to get great gas mileage in spite of the extra power. You'll get tons of cool features in the deal.

Ride and handling
In terms of ride, the tall Outback is sprung softly, which is to say that it's comfortable. Handling is a little tippy given the extra ride height, but that's offset by the all-wheel drive, which gives you grip times four when you're on the gas in corners. That said, it's nowhere near as roly-poly as the taller SUVs in its price range.

Fuel economy (mpg, city/highway)
Four-cylinder, 5-speed manual: 21/27
Four-cylinder, 4-speed automatic: 22/27
Six-cylinder, 5-speed automatic: 20/26

Safety features
Dual front and side air bags standard
Traction and stability control standard on VDC only
Anti-lock brakes standard

What you'll pay
About $23,000-$32,000, depending on trim level and options
For more information: www.subaru.com

Or you might consider ...
BMW 325xi (another gay fave with all-wheel-drive, but somewhat pricier, feature for feature)
Volvo S60 sedan/V70 wagon with all-wheel-drive (Swedish character, outstanding safety features, comparatively expensive)
Audi A4 Quattro (classy beyond its price, more understated alternative)
