hi all
i have a 03 plate blobeye sti, it seems that the front end has got a knocking noise, i dont think it is the shocks, i have heard that the drop links knock???? if i go over speed bumps it doesnt make any noise, but if i go over a rough bit of road it does. can anyone help

Could be drop links as you say, might just be loose nut as they are difficult to tighten in the first place. I had one fall apart (ball and plastic cup fell out of metal holder). Park on very level ground so links aren't loaded then check them for play by giving them a wiggle. Normal motor factor will be able to supply replacement or you could get rose jointed ones from Camskill as they don't cost much more than OE item. Bit of a PITA to remove old ones as you have to get a thin spanner on the shaft next to the ball joint or it all just rotates.
