I have an 04 Sti and am fitting Whiteline ALK and 22/24mm Arb's Fr/Rr.
Droplinks on mine are the ball type. (I think!!)
Why did Subaru change to this type and can solid type be used as replacements?
I have noted that ball type uprated Whitelines have issues, true or untrue?
I already have fitted Apex coilovers, what a difference hehe, so any comments/help much appreciated. I like to drive in a spirited fashion and will do occasional track days.

I don't know of any 'solid' endlinks, the early stock ones are plastic, the uprated ones are metal, both having a bush at each end, the newer cars have ball joints with a lot less play, so obvioulsy they are more precise and give the ARB more effectiveness, the old uprated ones won't fit a car with the associated bits (like the lateral link changes) for the newer part.
Not aware of the whiteline HD items having a problem, as you have stiffer suspension and aren't talking about uprtaing the ARB's then there is little point getting 'better' endlinks as your current ones are having an easier life now than they were when the springs were softer!
