I get clunking noise from the rear suspension over a certain part of a road is the suspension knackered.Car is a my03 sti.

 

These cars are notorious for the struts going. Do a search.

 

I would really like to know if there is any permanent fix for this knocking. I had the rears replaced under warranty and the knocking now is worse than ever. It does not inspire confidence. Does the JDM model suffer from this?
If so many cars are affected why has there not been any 'class action' diected at Subaru to produce a fix. It it hardly a quality or well engineered product that requires the replacement of the rear shocks each 10,000 miles.
Does any of the aftermarket suspension kits permanently fix the problem?
