Question

I know this is something that race teams spend a lot of time measuring and setting up, but is there anything that can be done similar for road cars, or is it a total waste of time?

Not a waste of time Mungo, but you need adjustable spring platforms, as on coilovers.

Cool

Mungo, Pete is right. My STI is all Whiteline underneath and used for hill climbing, Corner weighting all done (I have AVO struts) and the car is great. On the very limit this adjustment DOES make a big difference, no bull. You really notice it while you are getting scared if you will make the right turn after the left turn you only just got around! Welcome to hill climbing....
Graham.
